When will we understand that ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐ข๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฐ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ข๐ญ.
It always feels good to have high aspirations but the feeling of failure when a child or colleague continues to face discrimination within our community is a wake up call we must respond to.
Our communities will benefit more from confidence in a supportive and equitable response to discriminatory incidences than empty statements claiming that they do not happen.
To make this a reality, we must understand that equity and inclusion is not the absence of discriminatory events, but how they are consistently responded to.
